Ryan Whieldon

Ryan joined the staff at Stayton Christian in April 2016 as the Associate Pastor, and transitioned to Lead Pastor in January 2018. Prior to serving here at SCC, Ryan served as an Associate Pastor in Anaheim, California for 13 years. Ryan and his wife Kim met while they were in high school and were married in 1998. They have four children; Bryce, Tayven, Ethan, and Abigail.
Ron Randall

Ron was called as an Associate Pastor to this congregation in January 1975. Ron and his wife Marta were sent out as missionaries from this congregation in 1979 to serve the people of Mexico, where they spent the next 19 years. Ron returned to SCC in 1998 to serve as an Associate Pastor, and then served as the Lead Pastor from 2003 until January 2018. At that time, he was privileged to commit the Lead Pastor role of this congregation to Ryan Whieldon.
Austin Koukal
Worship and Media Pastor

Austin joined the staff at Stayton Christian in July 2022 as the Worship Pastor. Prior he had worked at a few different churches in worship and media roles. Austin and his wife Alina met while he was on tour at one of the shows in 2018 and were married in May of 2020.
Our Elders
Bob Thatcher
Elder
Bob and his wife Sue have been members of Stayton Christian since 1988. As a Project Manager/Civil Engineer/General Contractor, Bob has used his global experience building God's kingdom around the world, throughout his career and more recently during his retirement. Bob and Sue have three adult children: Leah, Daniel and Joshua. Eight grandchildren: Derek, Reuben, Norah, Emma, Payton, Addy, Abel and Avry. Last but not least, two Great Danes: Jack and Chloe.
Bob Frey
Elder
Bob was born in Stayton, grew up here and has been a member of Stayton Christian Church for most of his life. He and his wife, Sharon, love the church and have worked in many different areas throughout the years. Bob is retired, but still helps run a small farm with Sharon. They have 3 sons with families of their own, who live out of the area.
Dan Boyd
Elder
Dan has worshipped at Stayton Christian for 35 years and has been an elder for the last 7. He and his wife, Kathy, have 7 grown children between them and 18 grandchildren (and counting….).
Steve Pynch
Elder
Steve and his wife Robin have been involved with Stayton Christian Church for almost 20 years. The last several years he has served as an elder and is involved in the teaching ministry of our Adult Bible Fellowship classes. Steve and Robin are blessed with four children, three of whom are married, and seven grandchildren, all living in the local area and all following in the Lord’s path.
